Learn how to use Timestamped

Bookmarks give you a personal quick-access system for resources across the entire platform. Star or bookmark any case, contact, evidence item, report, task, or transfer to find it instantly from a single dashboard.

What You Can Bookmark

The following resource types support bookmarking:

  • Cases: Pin active investigations for quick navigation
  • Contacts: Save frequently referenced contacts
  • Clients: Keep important clients at your fingertips
  • Evidence: Star key evidence items within a case
  • Reports: Bookmark reports you reference often
  • Transfers: Track pending or recent case transfers
  • Tasks: Bookmark tasks you need to revisit

How to Bookmark

Click the bookmark icon on any supported resource to save it. For evidence items, click the star icon instead. The icon fills in to indicate the item has been saved. Click again to remove the bookmark.

Bookmark Icon

Used for cases, contacts, clients, reports, transfers, and tasks. Found in the header or toolbar of each resource.

Star Icon

Used specifically for evidence items. Stars serve the same purpose as bookmarks but use terminology familiar to investigators who "star" important evidence.

Bookmarks Dashboard

Navigate to the Bookmarks page to see all your bookmarked items in one place. From there you can:

  • Search across all bookmarked items by name
  • Filter by resource type (cases, evidence, reports, etc.)
  • Sort by date bookmarked, name, or type
  • Click any item to navigate directly to it

The bookmarks page also verifies that you still have access to each bookmarked resource. If your access to a case or other resource is revoked, the bookmark is hidden until access is restored.

Cross-Device Sync

Bookmarks sync automatically across all your devices and sessions. If you bookmark a case on your desktop, it will appear in your bookmarks list on your phone and any other device where you are signed in. No manual syncing is required.

Organization Filtering

When you switch organizations, your bookmarks automatically filter to show only items from your current organization. Bookmarks for items in other organizations are not deleted; they are simply hidden until you switch back. User-scoped resources (like personal contacts) are always visible regardless of which organization you are in.
